How scoring works. Total = Σ max(score.total) per mission_id + the user's best free-play run (mission_id = null). Every stored score.total already includes the per-mission reward multiplier (when all targets passed) and the difficulty-driven mission bonus, so retries can only improve a user's standing — never penalize it.
